The design goal for this project was to make the Fenix 6 Solar Editions stand out and feel like a true premium step-up from its non-solar counterparts in the Fenix 6 Lineup. The challenge was to achieve this while sharing the existing hardware of the Fenix 6 Series with only minor design changes and CMF. This was accomplished by introducing new PVD coatings to the lineup, an ultra-thin bezel mask with timing markers, and adding a solar eclipse inspired aluminum accent around the start/stop button.

With the addition of the Power Glass™ solar charging lens and a customizable power manager, this smartwatch can stay on and be performance-ready for weeks.

The Garmin Fenix 6 Solar Series was released in July 2020.

Special Thanks to Todd, Elliot, Jon, Jeremy, and Kellie.
